Mercedes-Benz S-Class: A New Era of Luxury and Innovation On 29 January 2026, the new S-Class was presented to international guests at its world premiere at the Mercedes-Benz Museum.

The New Mercedes-Benz EQS: A New Era of Electric Luxury

Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the new EQS, a vehicle that doesn't just evolve the electric luxury segment—it redefines it. Combining a legacy of 140 years of innovation with future-facing technology, the new EQS arrives with significant upgrades in range, charging efficiency, and digital intelligence.

Limitless Mobility: Over 900 Kilometres of Range

The new EQS 450+ sets a benchmark for long-distance electric travel. Thanks to a next-generation electric architecture and optimized cell chemistry, the range has increased by 13%, now reaching a staggering 926 kilometres (WLTP).

To complement this range, the vehicle features 800-volt technology, allowing for ultra-fast charging. At compatible stations, the EQS can recharge up to 320 km of range in just 10 minutes.

Technological Firsts: Steer-by-Wire

In a move that underscores its claim to leadership, Mercedes-Benz is the first German manufacturer to bring steer-by-wire technology to a series-production car. This system eliminates the mechanical link between the steering wheel and the front axles, offering:

  • Precision Handling: A completely new steering feel that eliminates road vibrations.
  • Enhanced Comfort: A flatter steering wheel design that makes entering and exiting the vehicle effortless.
  • Safety Redundancy: A dual-signal architecture ensuring total control at all times.

The Intelligent Companion: MB.OS & AI

The heart of the new EQS is the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS). This "supercomputer" uses artificial intelligence to manage every aspect of the vehicle, from the MBUX Virtual Assistant—which can conduct complex, human-like dialogues—to cloud-based damper control that prepares the suspension for speed bumps before you even reach them.

Signature Luxury & Design

The exterior has been sharpened to reflect a more prestigious "S-Class" status. For the first time, the Electric Art Line features the iconic, upright Mercedes-Benz star on the bonnet, paired with a new illuminated radiator grille.

Inside, the cabin offers a "Welcome Home" feeling with:

  • MBUX Hyperscreen: A continuous 55-inch glass surface merging three displays.
  • Innovative Comfort: World-first seat-belt heating for front passengers and 13.1-inch entertainment screens for rear-seat travelers.
  • Advanced Wellness: A HEPA filter system that keeps 99.65% of particles out of the cabin.
